Rain is gnawing in regular bites
At the edge of the roof outside
My window does not open but the close
Sound is in my head
The hiss of my breath intrudes
The rhythm adjusts a beat
Between the air outside and here
I breathe through open teeth
Quietly to hear the sky descending

Particular about a serious direction
Why I take my circles always given
Where I touch the ground
With all that covers it and it covers
